Burnley have agreed to a bid of £18.5 million from Watford for striker Andre Gray.
The 26-year-old, who is expected to have his medical on Wednesday, will emerge new boss Marco Silva’s seventh signing. Previously, the Turf Moor side had turned down two offers from the Hertforshire-based side before accepting an offer they could not refuse.
The transfer comes after Burnley gaffer Sean Dyche prevented Gray’s partner, Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock, from sitting in the directors’ box because she was too famous.
There is no doubt however that the incident contributed to the move.
Gray scored nine Premier League goals last season.
He had only a year left on his Burnley contract,
Brentford agreed a 20 percent sell-on fee from the sale two years ago and will gain £1.9 million from the deal.
